Populated with new faces as well as familiar ones, Bloodlines explores all the friendship, romance, battles, and betrayals that made the #1 New York Times bestselling Vampire Academy series so addictive--this time in a part-vampire, part-human setting where the stakes are even higher and everyone's out for blood.

Review:
I had been wanting to read this book for forever because the Vampire Academy series was my favorite series that center around vampires. It took me a long time to finally read this, but I'm so glad I did. Richelle Mead is always good about keeping her writing consistent and I love it. Sydney is just how I remember her, and she grew so much over this book as well! I love the fact that Adrian was front and center in this book as well because he was a favorite character of mine in the Vampire Academy series. I was very worried about the perspective change because I didn't know how much I would like Sydney, but I did a lot surprisingly!
This book has everything. Drama, suspense, mystery, death, Everything I look for in a book written by Mead.

Unpopular Opinions: Book Version

1:33:00 PM 0 Comments
Hello, everyone! I decided to do a book tag I found over on The Book Archer's youtube account. Let's get to it. :)

1. A popular book or series you didn't like.

The Lovely Bones. I tried reading this story three different times and just couldn't finish it. I don't know if it was the writing or what it was, but I just absolutely could not get through it.

2. A popular book or series that everyone else seems to hate but you love.

Okay, I think I might like Twilight a little too much because even though I was an avid reader before these books came out, reading these really got me into the groove of reading non-stop. Looking back I know the book has a lot of flaws but I just can't help but love it. Okay? Don't judge me!

3. A love triangle where the main character ended up with the person you didn't want them to end up with or an OTP that you don't like.Again, I'm going to have to go with the whole Edward and Bella thing. I was rooting for Jacob the whole time and of course she ended up with Edward in the end. *yawn*.

4. A popular book genre that you hardly reach for.
Can anyone say erotic fiction? Blegh. Makes my skin crawl.

5. A popular or beloved character that you don't like.
Am I allowed to say Daisy Buchanan? I see a lot of people say they like her and that she just made poor decisions but like...I really hate her. With a passion. Poor Gatsby.

6. A popular author that you can't get into.
Rainbow Rowell! I think the books are very bland and I just can't get into them at all.

7. A popular book trope that you're tired of seeing. (Love triangles, corrupt ruler, lost princess).
I hateeeeeeeeee when the characters fall in love with one another way too fast. It seems super forced to me if they've spoken a total of two times to one another and all of the sudden their minds connect with one another's and they just click. Ugh. Major barf.

8. A popular series that you have no interest in reading.

I JUST CAN'T DO IT.

9. The saying goes "The book is always better than the movie", but what T.V. show adaption do you prefer to the book?
Don't kill me, buttttttttt. I'm gonna have to go with Sherlock. I like the books, but that show is absolutely amazing.

Shallow Graves by Kali Wallace - Book Review

Title: Shallow Graves
Author: Kali Wallace
Release Date: January 26, 2016
Publisher: Katherine Tegen Books
Pages: 368
Rating: 4/5 stars
Pre-order the book: Amazon

DISCLAIMER: I won this book from Epicreads. All opinions herein are of my own and are not swayed by the Epicreads website.

Summary from AmazonWhen seventeen-year-old Breezy Lin wakes up in a shallow grave one year after her death, she doesn’t remember who killed her or why. All she knows is that she’s somehow conscious—and not only that, she’s able to sense who around her is hiding a murderous past. In life, Breezy was always drawn to the elegance of the universe and the mystery of the stars. Now she must set out to find answers and discover what is to become of her in the gritty, dangerous world to which she now belongs—where killers hide in plain sight, and a sinister cult is hunting for strange creatures like her. What she finds is at once empowering, redemptive, and dangerous.
Review:
Starting out, I had no idea where this book was going to go, but I knew it didn't end up how I expected it to at all. Which isn't a bad thing! I love books that surprise me. Breezy was a very likable character. She's been through it all, and still comes out with her sanity. A very strong, female lead in a book is what I like, especially when they're well written and I like them right off the bat.
The other characters definitely took a backseat to Breezy's amazing personality, but Jake and Zeke are definitely likable. Rain made me itch when I was reading about her, but I like characters that evoke that response in me.
I hope that there's a sequel to this book (come on, Kali Wallace!!!) because I felt like a lot of questions were left unanswered. Maybe Zeke and Breezy can have a little something going on in the potential next book? Aheh. Wishful thinking.

....

I just read on Goodreads where Kali Wallace said this book will definitely be a standalone (NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!) but that she might potentially be interested in writing more in the world.

All in all I love the fact that it's a creepy book, filled with monsters and suspense. It's definitely good enough to be deemed 4 stars from me, which rarely happens. I'll definitely be reading any other books that Kali writes because her writing does it for me! A book I definitely recommend.

DISCLAIMER: I received this product in exchange for an honest review. All opinions herein are of my own and are not swayed by the Lindi Skin company.

I'm a huge sucker for lip anything! Balm, glosses, lipstick, ink...you name it, I want it. Lindi Skin is a company that holds a great place in my heart. Their products are made specifically with people diagnosed with cancer in mind, so their mission is pure.

I was super excited when I opened this product because I knew I was going to use every single bit of it. I put the lip balm on as soon as I opened the package and was ecstatic not only about the pretty pink color, but of the barely there, but very good smell being emitted from the product. This is the perfect lip balm for when your lips get dry from the summer sun, or the harsh winds of winter decide to wreak havoc on your poor lips. It's the perfect size to slip into your bag or purse and carry with you around at all times!

This lip balm contains large quantities of vitamin E and natural extracts that help soothe your beaten and battered lips. Not only does it work for your lips, but an added bonus is the fact that it helps your cuticles and nails out as well!

Why is Lindi Skin my favorite company?
-All of their products are tested clinically.
-They never test on animals.
-They've been allergy and dermatologist tested.
-You have 30 days to try the product and if you don't like it, you can send it back and get your money back!
-Their products are non-irritating which is perfect for my super sensitive skin!

I opened this product and was so excited! First off, the design is absolutely gorgeous. And it really is a unique product that is guaranteed to get you a few looks and ultimately start a conversation with someone!

Information:
There are three interactive light settings. One is the plain light up color which is purple or pink, it depends on what you think those colors are. The second is pink, purple, and green interchangeably. And the third is a light show of all three colors quick and fast! I guess the colors could also reflect your mood. This product is also lead and nickel free, which is awesome for people with sensitive skin and people who want to steer clear of those things anyway. The cuff is adjustable so it's perfect for any body type! It comes with a cute floral pouch for storing your cuff in, but I know I'll be putting that in my purse for makeup. ;) The cuff is batter operated and comes with it already in so you don't have to worry about buying any batteries for it right off the bat!

Inkblaat Insoles: Cute Insoles for the Comfort Seeker

5:55:00 PM 1 Comments

DISLAIMER: I received these products in exchange for an honest review. All opinions herein are of my own and are not swayed by the Inkblaat company.

I love these insoles! They're super cute as opposed to other insoles you'd by at Wal-Mart. The first pair is called Grand Master Funk, and the second pair is called Blingin' Pretty. There are a bunch of other insole designs you can choose from if these don't suit your fancy. They have everything from these designs to, whales and dinosaurs, to flowers, to wood! Very cute and unique designs.

So what's so great about these insoles besides the unique designs?
1. They're made with an Aegis Microbe Shield which stops your insoles from getting dirty and disgusting from dirt and bacteria. It even helps prevents odors that said bacteria, mold, and mildew produces!
2. You can wash these in your washing machine and dry them without worrying that they're going to break down after multiple washes!
3. The insoles are slim, so you won't have to worry about them not fitting inside your shoes. Get your shoe size and they'll fit perfectly, but if they don't they're super easy to trim.
4. They have a top layer that keeps air flowing smoothly and keep your feet dry!
5. They're made up of over 90% of recycled materials. How awesome is that?
6. And if you're not satisfied? You have 30 days to return them and get your money back!

Right now, if you buy two pairs of insoles and use the code BUY 3 (until 2/21) you'll get a THIRD paid free!!!

You can visit Inkblaat here at their website.

The Little Woods: Book Review

11:42:00 AM 0 Comments

DISCLAIMER: I received this book in exchange for an honest review. All opinions herein are of my own and are not swayed by the person who gifted me this book.
Title: The Little Woods
Author: McCormick Templeman
Pages: 338
Publisher: Random House LLC
Rating: 3/5
Buy the book: Amazon

Synopsis from Amazon:
Are the woods behind St. Bede's Academy really haunted, or does bad stuff just happen there? When Calista Wood, a new student, arrives midway through her junior year, St. Bede's feels like a normal school... until she discovers that a girl had disappeared a couple of months earlier. Some kids think she ran away, others think she was murdered, but it's only when Cally starts digging around that she finds the startling truth.

Watch as Cally enters a world of privilege, weekend-long parties, high school romances, and... well-kept secrets. This page-turner will appeal to teens looking for a fast-paced thriller. Written in a voice at once gripping and crystal clear, debut novelist, McCormick Templeman, will take readers on a twisting and turning journey as only a "new girl" can experience.
Review:
There were a few aspects of this book that I liked quite a lot. I love the boarding school scene, and I loved the drama, mystery, and the mystic-ness of the whole thing. There were a lot more aspects that I disliked. The relationships that Cally got herself into for one. I know I'd never let anyone blatantly disrespect me and get away with it, but I had to ignore it because that's what makes it a book for teenagers, I guess. I overlooked it as well because I really wanted to know what happened to Cally's sister and her teacher's daughter all those years ago. I love books that have mysteries that slowly unravel and end with after a huge climax. This book did not disappoint with that aspect. Throughout the whole book I thought the killer was two other people the whole time, and had no idea it would turn out to be the person it ended up being.

ChopSaver: Perfection in a Tube

11:30:00 AM 0 Comments

DISLCAIMER: I received this product in exchange for an honest review. All opinions herein are of my own and are not swayed by the ChopSaver company.

During the Winter, I tend to lick my lips a lot more, which ends up leading to dry, cracked and red lips that generally irritates me to no end. I was so glad when I contacted this company and they agreed to send me a sample!
ChopSaver was an idea that a man named Dan Gosling came up with. It's all-natural, that includes Arnica. Arnica naturally heals and it comes from the sunflower! Not only does it have that, but it includes other amazing things made to heal your lips like shea and mango butter, avocado oil, aloe, as well as citrus and grapeseed oils! So nothing weird or nasty that you don't know about is going onto your skin. Which is always a plus in my book. Medical professionals even recommend it. I don't think I've ever used a product as good as this on my lips before, and I'll continue to use it after it runs out.

What She Knew by Gilly Macmillan: Book Review

DISCLAIMER: I received this book in exchange for an honest review. All opinions herein are of my own and are not swayed by the company who sent me the book.

Name: What She Knew
Author: Gilly Macmillan
Pages: 496
Publisher: William Morrow Paperbacks
Synopsis from Amazon:

In a heartbeat, everything changes…
Rachel Jenner is walking in a Bristol park with her eight-year-old son, Ben, when he asks if he can run ahead. It’s an ordinary request on an ordinary Sunday afternoon, and Rachel has no reason to worry—until Ben vanishes.
Police are called, search parties go out, and Rachel, already insecure after her recent divorce, feels herself coming undone. As hours and then days pass without a sign of Ben, everyone who knew him is called into question, from Rachel’s newly married ex-husband to her mother-of-the-year sister. Inevitably, media attention focuses on Rachel too, and the public’s attitude toward her begins to shift from sympathy to suspicion.
As she desperately pieces together the threadbare clues, Rachel realizes that nothing is quite as she imagined it to be, not even her own judgment. And the greatest dangers may lie not in the anonymous strangers of every parent’s nightmares, but behind the familiar smiles of those she trusts the most.
Where is Ben? The clock is ticking...
Review:
I love books like this. Mystery, suspense, and a twist at the end no one saw coming. I am 100% guilty of accusing people throughout these books of doing things they didn't do based on their shortcomings or their mannerisms, and sometimes, more like 95% of the time I'm right. This book had me questioning and second-guessing myself until the end. Not only was this book filled with mystery, but it was also heart-wrenching as well. Told in the view-points of multiple different people involved in the disappearance of Ben Finch, this is a book that will definitely keep you reading on until the very end. 5/5 stars.

RW Garcia - Gluten-Free Crackers

12:12:00 PM 0 Comments

DISCLAIMER: I received these products in exchange for an honest review. All opinions herein are of my own and are not swayed by the RW Garcia company.

I received three flavors to sample after contacting RW Garcia. I love finding new companies that offer gluten free alternatives to snacking because they're always super healthy! The flavors I received were the 3 seed quinoa crackers, the 3 seed sweet beet crackers, and the 3 seed sweet potato crackers. I almost always give things like this to my grandma because I know she'll eat them right away as opposed to be snacking on them here and there. Lol! I must say I am not normally a beet person, but they were so good! If you're not used to healthy food, you might be a little bit iffy at first, but you can always dip them in your favorite dip for a healthier alternative to say snacking on Lays chips.

All of RW Garcia's foods are verified non-GMO and certified gluten free. They also don't have any additives or preservatives which is always an added bonus! Not to mention the fact that they donate to a huge bunch of charities, as well as non-profit organizations that are into raising awareness for healthier alternatives to snacking.

These crackers are super tasty and healthy so I highly recommend them to you!

Kushyfoot: Opaque Tights Review

DISCLAIMER: I received this product in exchange for an honest review. All opinions herein are of my own and are not swayed by the Kushyfoot company.

I don't think in my last post I reviewed on Kushyfoot that they are my new favorite company. They not only supply beautiful knee high socks, but comfortable flats-to-go, and socks that fit you so comfortably you can hardly tell they're on!

I received these opaque tights when they got them in my size, and I was so excited! Opaque tights are my favorite to wear under dresses of course because they have a look of elegance about them, but I also love to wear them when I'm just chilling out at home in an oversized sweater. A lot of tights I've tried just aren't comfortable enough to do that in, though. You constantly have to pry them out of places they shouldn't be. Lol! I had no problem with these tights, though. They went on smoothly, which is a feat for someone with huge calves and thighs! I received the tights in a black color which is my favorite, but you can buy these in 4 different colors like black, navy, brown, and grey.

On top of the fact that they are already super soft and comfortable, they have a built-in top to control any pooch you may have, but the soles feel like they're massaging your feet! That's the best thing in my opinion. Who doesn't like being pampered while they walk?

I highly recommend this company for your shoe, sock, and tight needs because they truly are the most comfortable things I have felt in a long time.

Lindi Skin: Skin for Life - Review

7:14:00 AM 15 Comments
Hello, everyone! I was taking a short break for winter and now I'm back! I've been super excited to get back into my product reviews so let's get to it!

DISCLAIMER: I received these products in exchange for an honest review. All opinions herein are of my own and are not swayed by the Lindi Skin company.
The first product I received from Lindi Skin was the citrus face serum, which I love SO much! It reminds me of the push pops I got from the store as a child! This serum includes botanicals, vitamins, and antioxidants. I love the fact that this serum is extremely non-oily, because that is my issue with most skin serums or lotions. I will be using this one for a long time because the smell is amazing and it makes my face feel insanely smooth and soft. This company designs skin care for people with cancer, which is a huge bonus in my eyes. Their products are there to help in a hard time. It's been clinically proven to reduce itching, redness, and rashes due to chemotherapy.

The second product I received from them was the facial moisturizer designed to "renew and replenish".  I always have super dry skin around the bottom of my nose, and this product keeps my face from being so dry all the time. I think I'm in love! This moisturizer is an extremely light product that doesn't weigh down your face like a lot of other products I have tried myself. The fragrance is a very soft one so it's not going to overpower your nose in a bad way.

What are some other great aspects of Lindi Skin?
All of their products are paraben free. They're also made in the USA in an FDA compliant facility. These products have been tested by dermatologists, and is never tested on animals. Woo-hoo! All products are available to be given back if you are not satisfied after a 30 day period, money back guaranteed!

Would you try these products? I absolutely love them and they're incorporated into my daily skin care routine! Thanks so much for reading. :) See you all next time!
